Songs for the fallen #2
“What’s the price of a mile? What’s the purpose of it all?” are questions that strike Rikard Sundén, founding member of the Swedish powermetalband Sabaton.
He continues : “Ask the fields of Passchendaele. Six miles of ground has been won. Half a million men are gone. And as the men crawled the general called. And the killing carried on and on. How long?”
The band emphasizes they certainly do not want to glorify war. “We don’t glorify anything, we just tell stories about things that have happened,” concludes Sundén.
A powerful song with a strong message that requests some reflection. #lestnotforget
Don’t forget to turn up the speakers as you go through the lyrics ^^
